Musica!

So my new site has finally got some music. It is really hard to find good royalty free (yes I want to follow copyright laws)music. I like the song, but I'd sure like to here what you think. Also I've added an automatic slideshow so you no longer have to click on each picture to view it. Check it out!

Instant gratification

Another cool thing about Kirsten and Chris' wedding was that I was able to bring my new 30 inch flat screen monitor to show pictures of the actual wedding day at the reception. It was sooooooo cool. Kirsten came up to me and said that it was "instant gratification" for her. The truth was, it was instant gratification for me too. I saw Kirsten and her bridesmaids life and cry as they relived the tender moments they had just shared. It just feels good to know that they really appreciated my work. Usually I don't get to see their reactions so being able to see their reactions in person was a real treat.

So to all my brides out there, if your are interested in having me set up the display at your wedding PLEASE let me know. It turned out great and I think you and your guests will love it. It does take some time, so for those of you who have booked one photographer we would need to make sure that I have time to set everuthing up. Ciao!

On the rooftops of Portland

This weekend I shot an AMAZING wedding! I'd been looking forward to Kirsten and Chris' wedding since their engagement session, and they did not disapoint. We started the day with Kirsten and her girls at the Dosha Spa for hair and make up, then off to the Marriot to get ready. Chris, Kirsten and I then headed over the the Rose Gardens which were absolutley gorgeous. A few minutes later we were back at their wedding location. The Treasury. They actually were married on the roof of the building and it was so beautiful! The cityscape was amazing, and the weather was perfect with beautiful puffy clouds as a backdrop. We then went to the basement of the treasury building for their reception. I'll give some more details later... it's 2am and I'm kinda tired. =)

New Floors

While Kara and Sofia are visiting Kara's parents I'm trying to put in wood floors...here is my progress so far. Basically I'm pretty good at tearing stuff up and making a mess. But hey, at least I have a good excuse to buy some new power tools!

Long time...no post

Where to begin? It's been a while. Sorry! The end of the school year was just INSANE. I forgot how crazy high school graduation can be. Also this was my first year as the yearbook advisor so it was double crazy. The good news is that next year I'll be teaching all Photography classes plus the yearbook, newspaper and dvd yearbook. It sounds like a lot, but I think it will make my life a whole lot easier and more friendly to blogging. I've got a lot of stuff to talk about, so I'll probably be posting daily over the next couple of weeks. For now you can check out a few shots I snapped during graduation at Corvallis High School. Congrats 07! O yeah, and if you former CHS'ers are checking this out you can download the full files for free by following the above link.

Wedding in Bend, Oregon

This weekend I had the privilege of shooting Sara and Scott's wedding in Bend. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. My cousin Jared also came up to do some videography so I'll be posting some of his video when he gets done.
