Calling All Former Becerra Brides and Grooms!

I have been so touched over the last couple of years by the wonderful emails that have been sent to me by couples who were thrilled with their wedding images. Since I don't really get to see their reaction on opening their wedding album those emails are the next best thing to being there.

Right now I'm working on some pretty big updates to my website and would love to include a testemonial section with comments of brides and grooms that I have shot. If you were 100% satisfied with your wedding pictures, and would like to give me a shout out that will be included in the next edition of my website, send an email to chris@becerraphotography.com that explains your experience that you'd like to share with other brides and grooms looking for a great photographer.
Thanks in advance!

Just in case you were wondering....

I'm a professional photographer. I hadn't joined any professional organizations yet and so I've been debating about which one to sign up with. I decided to join Profesional Photographers of America. They have a lot of good info and as my business has grown I've had to look at a lot of things like liability insurance, copyright protection, tax laws, etc. and I think thy can be a pretty good resource. O yeah, and I also get to display their nifty logo on my website.

President's Day

I hope you had a great President's Day weekend! Ours was fabulous. We were able to spend the night at the coast with my parents and my sister and her husband. It was so nice to get away for a little while. Sometimes I get so busy taking and processing people's pictures that I forget to take time to take some shots of my own family. Anyways, just thought I'd show you some snapshots from ourweekend.

Why you want to hire a pro

I got an interesting call yesterday. A wonderful bride and groom who trusted me to shoot their wedding when I was just starting out had lost their images. I immediatly went to my past weddings file cabinet and dug out their backup DVD.

Being able to tell the bride and groom that I still had their wedding pictures even after a few years was a great feeling, and made me really think about how important it is to hire someone who is going to be around for a while and who will take care of your images.

Today I not only back up all the images I take, but my online gallery also serves as a backup. If my office ever burned down, you would still have a backup copy of all your pictues that we could access online.

Make sure you hire someone who has a backup because accidents do happen!

Bridal Show Review

Well the Bridal Show was a lot of fun. Unfortunatley I forgot to take pictures of it! Can you believe that? I was so busy talking to brides and other vendors that I forgot to take a picture of my booth. Oh well, I've got some other ideas about how to use my booth so hopefully I'll get them on the blog before too long. In the mean time I got to meet a lot of great vendors at the show and I DID take pictures for them. This shot is a beautiful floral design by Celebration Florals. If you are getting married in Corvallis check them out!

Happy Anniversary!

My parent's 30th anniversary is tomorrow, so I thought I'd get back to blogging by letting my parents know how much I love them.

What awesome people my parents are! They were the first to go to college in both of their families and have really inspired me in all I do. I love you mom and dad!
