Ian's Senior Portrait Session in Corvallis

Ian and I had a pretty good time shooting his senior portraits last Saturday. Of course his silly sister came along and could make Ian bust into a smile with her Star Wars C3P0 impersonations! It was a good time and there was some gorgeous light to work with. I guess Corvallis does have some nice sunsets...you just have to know where to look...

Lot's and Lot's of updates

Sorry for the slow posting...things slow down as the weather gets a little yucky up here. I do have some engagements coming up and a few more weddings this year so if you would like to see some more pictures, I would suggest heading over to my Main Website, because I just updated it with lot's of new pictures from this summer.

A special family portrait

I've shot a few family portraits, but I recently got a call from some friends of mine that I think was pretty special. Jonathan and Carrie are the owners of Blue Castle Photography and decided to hire me to shoot their family portraits. They just built a beautiful new home and wanted to have some nice family shots to go with it. Of course having another photographer ask you to take their pictures is just about the highest complement you can get. I was very happy to oblige.

Here are a few!

Into the deep

We headed over to the Newport aquarium on Thursday just let hang out, relax and look at some fish. It was so fun to watch Sofia and Gabe explore and get all excited about seeing all the animals. They were pretty hard to take pictures of though! They wouldn't sit still!

They got me!

Well it took me a few years but I finally gave in and got a Facebook account. I guess at first I just wasn't that interested in the whole social network thing, but I have to say I was amazed at how quickly I was able to reconnect with old friends and new. I don't really use Facebook as a marketing tool so don't expect to see a lot of wedding pictures up there, but if you are an old friend or want to be a new friend look me up!

P.S. If you are current student of mine, I'm sure you see enough of me all ready.

The Wagners in the Pearl District, Portland Oregon

You've heard me rave about Make up Artist Nicole Wagner , but I think it is high time that I brag about her husband Steve. Steve has helped me as a 2nd shooter on a few weddings this year and he has done just a fabulous job. Steve's job usually involves shooting the groom getting ready, running around holding way too much photography equipment, and focusing on detail and candid shots. You can check out his site here .

Anyway Steve and I decided to do a family photo swap. I shot his family and he shot mine. We headed over to Portland's Pearl District which is pretty much one of the coolest places to shoot that I've ever worked. Here is the slideshow of the Wagners, and I'll show you the shots Steve got of the La Familia Becerra as soon as he sends them to me. (hint hint Steve!)

Baillie and Tyler's Wedding in Bonanza Oregon

Last Saturday I headed all the way down to Bonanza for Baillie and Tyler's wedding. There were so many things that made their wedding unique! After the ceremony at the community church the wedding party hopped on a flatbed trailer while Baillie and Tyler pulled everyone to Tyler's family farm using a HUGE tractor. The farm was absolutely beautiful. Imagine one thousand acres of beautiful fields pretty much as far as you could see and that that is where they had their reception. Everyone had a good time and it seemed like the whole community came out to support them.
